The Democratic Women of Nevada County are accepting nominations for an outstanding member to be recognized for our Eleanor Roosevelt Award. This recognition has been awarded since 2000. The nominee should emulate the qualities of Eleanor Roosevelt, "First Lady of the World”, and show commitment to the DWNC’s mission, “The Democratic Women of Nevada County empower women through civic engagement, advocacy, and education. The organization promotes democratic values, supports women leaders, and works to build a more inclusive and active political community.” The Democratic Women of Nevada County Executive Board will make the final decision.

The Eleanor Roosevelt recipient will be celebrated at our October 3rd Membership Meeting, which is Eleanor Roosevelt’s birthday month. The Eleanor Roosevelt award will reflect the awardee’s name and year and be displayed at the Nevada County Democrat’s office.
